With our son’s 1st Easter approaching, I was super prepared in getting things to put in his very 1st Easter basket! π Now that we have a baby, each holiday has been so, so special with him here! Although he’s only 6 months old and won’t quite remember, it’s really special to start these memories with him.
With that being said, I was inspired to share some Baby’s 1st Easter basket ideas! I’m assuming if you are reading this, that maybe you’re looking for Easter basket ideas for your little one, so below is my list of some really fun, meaningful, and practical items to add to your Baby’s First Easter basket!
Majority of these items I did purchase specifically for his Easter basket, and other items we have already had or bought for other reasons. All of the items listed below though would be ideal to add to any baby’s 1st Easter basket!

I hope you find this helpful! π Happy Easter!
1. ‘God Gave Us Easter’ Book

First and foremost, I wanted to include this book 1st because it explains the reason for Easter. Easter is so much more than just another day- and itβs important to teach our children why. This book is so sweet in walking through why “God gave us Easter”! Definitely be sure to add this to your child’s very first Easter basket! π
2. Bunny ‘Touch and Feel’ Book

Here is another book idea. These books are great because they are ‘touch and feel” which is great for sensory, and they are small sized- which is perfect for your young babyβs age.
3. Baby’s First Easter

One more book idea- Baby’s First Easter! This is another great option because the pictures are nice and clear for your little one to see. It simply shares the story of Easter and the hard book pages will provide durability for many, many years.
4. Baby Sunglasses

Next up is one of my favorites!! Baby sunglasses! Things like sun glasses, swim wear, etc. are so good to add to your Baby’s First Easter basket because summer time is right around the corner for alot of us who experience the 4 different seasons. These particular sunglasses are great because they are flexible to support your busy baby, they are polarized to support your baby’s delicate eyes, and lastly, they are great because they include the strap to be sure to catch from any falls! I can’t wait to use these on our 6 month old at the beach next month!
5. Baby Swim Wear

Next up is a baby swim suit. Because of the reasons I mentioned in above, adding a swim suit to your little ones basket is practical and useful! We will be sure to get lots of use out of this swim suit this summer!!
6. Baby’s First Flash Cards

Now that my son is 6 months old and so aware of literally EVERYTHING, the teacher in me figured it is never to soon to introduce flash cards! I personally loved flash cards when I was little. These baby first flash cards set include animals, foods, letters, and numbers! They are super durable and will last for years to come! I’ve actually already been using these and use them to interact with my son while he’s eating food in his high chair, or even just simply when we’re on the ground playing.
7. Jesus Loves Me Lamb

I remember having a stuffed animal similar to this when I was young. Although I did not purchase this exact lamb for my son, I did include a Jesus Loves Me stuffed animal in his Easter basket. I always sing the Jesus Loves Me song to him when I rock him or snuggle him to sleep so this was a really special purchase for him.
8. Oball Rattle

Okay, so not only is this rattle super fun for your little one, it is also a super cheap purchase at only $2.99! Such a great deal. Rattles are a sure way to keep your baby entertained with their fun sounds and it will also help your little one with fine motor skills and hand eye coordination.
9. Shaky Eggs!

Shaky eggs are so much fun! When I was a daycare worker in college, I remember seeing these shaky eggs for the first time! These make a fun noise and are easy for little ones to grasp on to. They come in fun bright spring colors and are perfect for Easter since after all, they are EGGS! lol
10. Egg Teether

How perfect is this bunny egg teether?! It even has a clip so nothing gets lost or dirty. We were actually gifted one of these teether eggs from a family member and our son loves the textures on the bunny’s ears. Simple and fun for those teething babies!
11. Sophie the Giraffe Teether

Another great teether option is this Sophie the Giraffe! My son LOVES this. We received it at our baby shower and my son loves chewing on this. It also makes a squeaky noise so it’s fun to play with, too!
12. ezpz Cup

So we have not yet introduced this cup to my son, but we will be in the next couple months. Open cups are great for little ones to practice drinking with. This cup is 100% silicone so it’s safe, too!
13. Baby Led Weaning Spoon Set

My son started eating solid food around 4 months old, and we introduced these self feeding baby safe 100% silicone spoons. He loves using them to “feed himself”. They make eating time lots of fun and they help engage him in meal time, as well as practice self feeding! π
14. Gerber Baby Puffs

Last but not least, baby puffs! The perfect replacement for jelly beans or other candy that your baby cannot yet eat! haha. Baby puffs are the best invention! I cannot wait to give these to our little guy soon. I think all little ones love eating these things!
I hope you found this list helpful in purchasing some items for your little ones first Easter basket! If you purchased using one of my links, thank you! I carefully curate my blog posts so your support means a lot to me!
