DIY Outdoor Couches
(Ana White Plans)
When Josh and I first moved into our new home, we had visions of what out outdoor space would be. When we had this deck built off the back of the house, we knew we wanted to make it cozy + relaxing!
We searched high and low for good quality outdoor furniture but nothing was catching our eye, and nothing agreed with our wallets either… LOL. Until, we came across Ana White’s DIY plans for these awesome outdoor couches! (And coffee table!)
LINKS TO THE PLANS, CUSHIONS, STAIN COLOR AND RUG WILL BE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST!
Because we already had some lumber laying around, Josh was able to build these within a weekend. We prepped and stained them the next, and before we knew it we were outside enjoying the fruits of our labor!
One thing I especially love about Ana White’s DIY plans, is she has a “Preparation List”, a “Cut List”, and a “Shopping List”. She also includes 3D photos of the plans and a step by step process. This makes it incredibly easy to buy, build, and enjoy! She is truly awesome!
Below is a photo of our completed outdoor space that we truly enjoy + love SO much!
Below is the plan we followed from her website (at the bottom of this post I have the link the exact plan)
We choose to use extra lumber we had laying around so we didn’t need to buy any so you’ll notice that we customized ours a little bit and made the slats go vertical on the seat rather than horizontal.
We then added some outdoor sofa cushions at Kohls along with some cute throw pillows at Hobby Lobby, and our outdoor couches completely came to life! 🙂 I think the rug we bought just pulls it all together!
Thanks for reading and I hope this inspires you to make your own outdoor furniture!
