He Is Making All Things New
I love the spring time for so many reasons. One being that it reminds me of new growth + fresh changes that will blossom with a new season.
This view is one from my comfy reading chair in our living room. It’s been my view for the last several days. It’s a view that brings me peace + joy in such a confusing time in this world. The word GATHER on the wall sign is something I always look at when I sit here. I had a thought when I looked at it today that I am thankful to see so many “gather” together through this difficult time in a new way. Although many of us aren’t able to physically gather together, we have reinvented a new way of gathering together.
From watching local restaurants provide free delivery, to seeing nurses and doctors show bravery, to all those staying at home and respecting social distancing; I’ve experienced our country gather together in new ways. What a beautiful thing to be a part of.
I was reminded this morning of a verse in Revelation 21:5 – He is making all things new.
What a beautiful reminder today as we navigate the uncertainties of this time. I know that when we look back on this season of uncertainty, that we will all come out changed. In a good way. I’ve already seen people around me handling the Pandemic with grace and empathy. Many are expressing their thanks, patience, and kindness to neighbors, nurses, doctors and business owners alike. It’s amazing to see your country come together in such a scary time.
May we remember that although it may feel hard now, it won’t last forever. A new season is upon us.
Stay kind. Stay thankful. Stay hopeful.
